We are beginning the first steps toward registering for high school. Our first big step will starting this week as your student will begin watching a series of six modules with information about high school registration.
Your student will be guided through these modules with the help of their home room teacher. If you would also like to view these modules, your student has access to them through February 5th .
You may also like to look at the high school course catalog, it is available at:

These modules are available to you on your student’s PLP and the icon is labeled Registration Ready.

Step 2-Traditional vs. Virtual – Virtual option requires an application.
The window to apply for virtual school is January 15th to February 15th.  You will need to visit this link for more information about applying for virtual school. This link will also give you dates for virtual parent meetings.
Step 3-Interested in High School Academies?
The window to apply for the academies is also January 15th through February 15th.   To learn more information, you can visit the following link to apply https://www.cmcss.net/academies/
Once you explore all the information, you may have questions.   I am going to have an open Zoom session Monday through Friday from January 25th to February 15th at 2:00 to 2:30. You are welcome to drop in and ask any questions you might have about the process.

SUMMARY:  
  1. Home room teachers will walk students through the Registration Ready Modules beginning January 25th.
  2. Decision must be made to attend either Traditional or Virtual for the 2021-22 school year. Virtual will require an application with a February 15th deadline.
  3. High School Academy Application the deadline is February 15th.
  4. Visit with Mrs. Lightner on Zoom if you would like to ask any questions.
Future Dates specific to Rossview High School will be announced.  Although we are currently virtual and remote learning, please be assured that we will make sure to send out information in timely manner as changes may occur. We are dedicated to making this process a smooth transition for both your student and for you as a family.
