Choir Students Honored

We are so proud of our Rossview Middle School choir. And especially some of our students who have received special honors!

We had 4 students make it into the Organization for American Kodaly Educators National Youth Choir that will take place in Columbus, Ohio later this spring: Cassidy M., Grace A., Macy I., and Daniel C..

Also, we had students audition and be accepted into the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association Middle School Honor Choir: Kalea K., Ilyse B., Daniel C. Alex D., and Bradly S.. This is really exciting as most of the students who are selected are from the Nashville area.

APSU Visits Flute Students

Our flute students in the ROMS band were very lucky to have the principal flute of the Pittsburgh Symphony visit with our students last Wednesday, Nov. 14! Her name is Lorna McGhee. She worked with the students, played for them, talked about her upbringing as a flute player (she is from Scotland) and answered questions. We also had a flute quintet from APSU perform that day. We are so lucky to have APSU right down the road!

And a special congrats to Angel D. who was 1st chair trombone in the Gold Band giving her the status of the best trombone player for grades 7 and 8 in Middle TN!
