Welcome to the Rossview Middle School Choir!

Mr. Yu Hirono (You Hee-row-no) is the Choir Director for grades 6-8 at Rossview Middle School. He has a Bachelor's in Music Education from Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, TN) and a Master's in Music Performance from The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL). Roll Tide!

Mr. Hirono loves making music and creates a fun, welcoming environment for his students. On his free time, he likes to do karate, yoga, and takes hikes.

Students will perform high-quality choral literature in multiple performance settings. Students will also learn the cultural context of the music, with the awareness of different musical styles, both in the Western and non-Western tradition. Students will also learn music reading skills, as well as piano skills.
