My name is Jo Zavatchen but everyone just calls me "Z". This is my 5th year with CMCSS and my 2nd year at Rossview! I LOVE being a Hawk! I teach 7th grade math but my educational background is in engineerging (civil, construction) and data analysis. In every role I've ever had, I have always fallen into an instructor role so when I came to a crossroads in my life and my career, I decided to make the change and head back to teaching, which is where my heart always was anyway. I can't wait to get to know you and your students and I look forward to an awesome year full of learning and growth!

  1. I do not accept late work beyond the ROMS requirement of 1 week late with 10% penatly per day off grade earned.
  2. My contract hours are M-F from 7:00-2:30. If you reach out with a question or concern, I will respond within 24 business hours during my contract hours.  
  3. I expect from you and you will receive from me: verbal, physical, and emotional respect (I.E.   If I am speaking, you are listening and looking at me.  If you are speaking, I am listening and looking at you.  We don't have to be friends with everyone, but we do have to be respectful and kind. You're entitled to a bad day, but not a bad attitude, etc). 
  4. Syllabus, rules, assignments, etc are all on the hub (see website link!)
