I love teaching! I currently teach 6th grade Math here at Rossview. I have been teaching since 1997. I taught English for 10 years, served at Academic Coach at Rossview for 4 years, and taught multiple subjects in California for 3 years. I have two little girls, Anna Claire who is in 4th grade, and a four-year-old named Madeline. I look forward to getting to know students and parents this school year.

Class Expectations

Class time is important. Students need to be on time for class and use class time wisely. Everything your child needs in class for the day will be written on my board, so students will know what to expect in class for the day.

Students need to bring supplies everyday to class. A 1-inch binder will work best for most students.

Students need to complete all work in order to prepare and practice for assessments. It is important that students show their work and all required steps when solving a problem. Please check with your child each day to see if classwork and homework is completed. Typically, classwork not completed will be their homework.

Grades in PowerSchool are weighted this year. There are two categories for grades.

Assessments: At the conclusion of each unit, students will have a unit test. These assessments will count 70% of your child’s final grade.

Practice: This category includes work in class, quizzes, Skill Practice worksheets, homework and performance based tasks. This category will count 30% of your child’s final grade. There will be a penalty for late homework and work will not be accepted if more than three days late.

Parent emails: These are sent out daily and keep you informed of student homework in core classes as well as important dates and information.
